Dear Congregation of our Lord Jesus at Bozeman Montana,

Let me begin by expressing my thanks to you for the invitation to become your next pastor.  The journey to this point has been filled with good conversation with so many of you.  We have laughed together while feasting.  We have cried together in moments of personal sharing.

Thank you for your generous hospitality and the opportunity to lead you in worship.  It has been a great joy.

Verla and I enjoyed our time with you in March and we were touched by your commitment to do God's work.  We were impressed with the maturity of the leadership of your church.  We also listened to the many thoughtful questions asked during the congregational Q&A time as well as during the fellowship time which followed.

Like you, our desire is to be obedient to the leading of God and to be faithful to His call in our lives.

After much prayer and reflection I understand God to be leading and calling me to come and serve with you.  Therefore I accept your call to become your next pastor.

May God bless each of us as we engage in preparation and transition.

In the Lord's service,

Pastor Jerry Blom
